Runner-up for the 2021 Desperate Literature Prize

I’m very happy to share that I am one of two runners-up for the 2021 Desperate Literature Prize. My story, titled “Section 22”, will be published in an anthology later this year, in addition to one of the prize’s partner journals.

I’d like to express my thanks to the judges, Ottessa Moshfegh, Derek Owusu, and Isabel Waidner, for seeing something good in my work, and to Terry and the Desperate Literature team for a much needed boost. Congratulations to the other prize winners, and to the other shortlisted writers.
